Each of us have our own story; our own way of peaking from behind the door. We wonder if will be safe if we step out into the open. Some of us have no doubt and kick the door to life down as we burst out for the world to see. Regardless of our age...regardless of where we are in reference to how open we are to the world...laying claim to your authentic self can be tricky at times. I was there too and now I live proudly in my own skin.
Coming out of the closet, often shortened to coming out, is a metaphor for LGBTQIA+ people's self-disclosure of their sexual orientation or of their gender identity. Depending on numerous factors, coming out can have ramifications that we never expected. And that is why I offer my services to guide you along on your journey or your bibliographer as you lay claim to your life's work.
We are told from when we are young to be this or be that to the point that we can’t just sit with ourselves and “be”. The messages we receive from all around us cause conflict within our hearts and head. My personal experience is just that…my personal experience. But just like I had been offered through the skills of an accepting therapist that allowed me to be me with no shame or stigma, I too offer that opportunity to others who are trying to figure out their life.
